Annual Compliance Update

Ensuring a Safe and Productive Academic Environment

Welcome to Our Academic Year Plan

This year's academic plan serves as a roadmap for the school year, outlining the educational goals, curriculum initiatives, extracurricular activities, and safety protocols that will guide our school community. This plan is designed to foster a nurturing and productive learning environment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally

Academic Excellence

  • We aim that the majority of our students meet or exceed grade level proficiency in all subjects especially core subjects (Math, English, Science).
  • Our goal is to cater for different students' needs by implementing differentiated instruction techniques to ensure that every student has access to challenging content.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving shall be acquired through project-based learning, inquiry-based activities, and group activities solving real world problem scenarios.
  • Foster Global awareness through extracurricular activities in all subjects that engages our students in community service projects at least once a year.

Safety Protocols

Emergency Preparedness, Health and Wellness, Bullying Prevention and Digital Safety are amongst our priorities this year. Safety and security have been and will always be our priority here at Sakkara Language School Maadi. Orientation sessions, fire drills, are examples of what we do to ensure the inclusiveness of all our stakeholders.

Uniform Policy

Proper school uniform is expected to be worn by our students every day. P.E uniforms should be worn on days of P.E classes only. Failure to wear proper school uniform will result in disciplinary action as well as reductions from behavior grades.

Hair Cuts & Overall Appearance: Only proper haircuts will be allowed at Sakkara Language School in Maadi. A verbal warning will be given to the student with suggested changes on the first offense. Failure to follow rules and suggestions may/will result in disciplinary action, the student being sent home or even suspension from school.

For Girls: Hair must be tied during school hours. Makeup, lashes, nail polish, nose piercings, and tight pants are not permitted. Students might be sent home for not following these rules. Crocs & Slippers are not permitted. Please refer to the policy manual available at school for complete details.

Safe Transportation (Buses)

For students enrolled in our bus service, parents will bring their children to school only on the first morning of the academic year and buses will drop them off. Buses will move at 3:05 pm for the first academic day of the year onwards.

Nursery and Kindergarten

Students will receive a letter from the Head of Kindergarten regarding start date and time.

Communication and Reporting

Parents are not allowed in school under any circumstances unless they have an appointment, for emergencies, for uniforms or accounting office access. If parents wish to meet with the school principal or the head of department, appointments can be arranged to ensure that your concerns and questions are addressed effectively.

Digital Communication

There will be a weekly outline and worksheets every Thursday for all subjects sent via Google Classroom so that students who are not feeling well throughout the year can stay at home and follow up with their academics. Quizzes will only be given to students during class. They will be sent along with the revision sheet on Google Classroom at the end of the week. All important notes will be sent on Newsletters.
